Activity Report 2024
In 2024, we experienced a year of transformative encounters at Cidadão Pró-Mundo. We expanded the number of students, opened new classrooms in different cities, and strengthened our presence in communities dreaming of more opportunities. It was also a year when we saw former students return as volunteers, forming a cycle of impact, continuity, and affection.

About CPM
English as a Passport to a Future of Opportunities
For over 25 years, Cidadão Pró-Mundo (CPM) has been connecting young people from public schools to a world of possibilities through free, high-quality English teaching. We believe in the power of education to transform realities and build a fairer and more equitable Brazil. Mastery of English is presented not only as an academic skill but as an essential tool for social integration and the expansion of professional and personal opportunities, opening doors to better jobs, advanced studies, and cultural exchange.

Indicators
More than numbers, lives transformed
In 2025, the work of Cidadão Pró-Mundo continued to yield concrete and measurable results. Each number represents a dream closer to being realized, a barrier broken, and a life impacted by the power of education and collaboration.
Below is a dashboard with the main impact indicators of the year:
Flipped Classroom
Our formula: innovative methodology and a network of passionate volunteers
Learning that goes beyond the classroom
The CPM uses the "Flipped Classroom" methodology to optimize classroom time and deepen knowledge. This model creates a continuous learning cycle and gives more autonomy to students. The process is divided into three stages:
Before class (Pre-class): Students explore the content online through videos and interactive activities, many of them provided by the partner platform EnglishCentral. This way, they arrive at class already familiar with the vocabulary and grammatical concepts of the topic.
During class: With the theoretical foundation already established, classroom time is dedicated to practice, conversation, and clarification of doubts with the direct support of volunteacher instructors. This makes the class more dynamic and focused on language application.
After class (Homework): Exercises reinforce what was learned, consolidating the knowledge and preparing the ground for the next learning cycle.
Our Volunteering
The heart of CPM is made of people
One of the most exciting and profound indicators of our trajectory is the closing of the impact cycle: the transformation of students into volunteers. In 2025, 89 active volunteers were former CPM students themselves — a continuous advancement compared to the 84 registered in 2024. Of this group, 61 acted directly as volunteachers, assuming the role of teachers and becoming benchmarks of overcoming and inspiration for the new classes.
Corporate engagement continued to be a valuable pillar in 2025. We relied on the dedication of 126 unique corporate volunteers, who brought their professional experience and mentorship, coming from major partners such as Citibank, Cabot, Pinheiro Neto Advogados, JP Morgan, IBM, Microsoft, DocuSign, and engaged students from Escola Eleva.
Partners who are the change with CPM

"Even if you find it difficult or doubt your ability, CPM shows that it is possible to learn and grow with support, acceptance, and dedication. What I like most is feeling that I am indeed learning at my own pace, with respect for my rhythm."

Patrícia Alves
Student
"These six years at CPM have brought me immense personal and professional growth. I have realized that in volunteering, each person contributes in their unique way to the success of the project. CPM has become a lifestyle that I intend to maintain for many years."

Douglas Cordeiro
Volunteer
"With extensive experience at Cidadão Pró-Mundo since 2019, I have held various roles, from volunteer to director, learning about pedagogical support and administrative management. Currently, as Coordinator of Students, I redesigned the preparatory course for the Cambridge exam, which resulted in an increase in the pass rate from less than 30% to more than 90%. My journey at the NGO demonstrates how collaborative actions can create a significant impact on people's lives."
